What Lib Dem members think about the coalition government: LDV poll results
So delighted with the results of the survey by the Liberal Democrats, that echo my views/hopes/expectations/concerns. The negative voices against the new coalition government have been loudest in the days following the election… for many of us though, I believe we are prepared to accept that things have indeed changed. The future will tell of course but what is important and different, is that the electorate is watching.
We have paid attention to this election and we have seen clearly the flaws in our electoral system. That ‘we the people’ are watching, puts us in this coalition. It empowers us to demand what most would want… sane/logical spending practices that get us out of debt, more honour in politics so that we are not governed for commercial exploitation, wisdom in the allocation of our precious resources so that fairness is the standard and more open, inclusive government that allows us to participate.
I wish us success because it is not about the power, the ego, the party or the struggle – it is surely about what fairly benefits us all, as individuals within our communities.
